I first came to Bulgaria to see if it was as good as I had heard from friends who had visited the country on holiday. It was, but exceeded all my expectations. The beautiful green countryside, the fresh unspoiled food, drink, and all at prices that are unbelievable compared to those we are used to in England or our usual holiday destinations, Most importantly, the people are friendly and warm towards you. They have an innocence unspoiled by the horrible behavior now associated with some tourists or ex-pats.
I made several more visits, one of which was with two close friends. They too fell in love with Bulgaria. We were all fed up with the UK and the increasing decline of values in the country we once knew. So we decided to sell up and move out here.
We bought our properties from a reputable British owned company who also has offices in Bulgaria (Homebuyers Bulgaria Ltd), as I had already had several lucrative dealings with the UK company I knew they could be trusted. The Bulgarian Director Martin Iliev, is a fluent linguist and highly qualified business graduate with acumen beyond his young years, the many staff are also fluent and could not be more helpful.
Ashley Kelley is the Managing Director of both companies, over the years I have developed a very close relationship with him , both on a business and personal level, this is based on mutual trust and results. Initially I met Ashley's wife Clare at her Spa showroom whilst helping one of my clients who was there servicing the showroom plant display, I had worked with David Stead's Urban Planters many times before and he recommended me to her, she told me to telephone Ashley about a new office project, I did, it resulted in my company installing the computer network, video and audio systems; my company later received the work for all his offices. On one occasion Ashley asked me if I wanted some good investment properties, I said yes and bought them all, they yielded good rental income before I sold them for a substantial profit.
